Ryan Adams recently released a live album “Live at Carnegie Hall,” that has been met with praise from critics. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the performances with my family. What we particularly noted was his stage control and comedic asides, something that cannot be found in today’s overly structured concert circuit. It’s truly a lost art. And when you have the vast song catalog as does Ryan Adams, it also gave him the ability to improvise and change directions depending on the crowd reaction.
