One guy is from Hot Chip. The other guy is not. Together, they are two DJs who dress up in Bear Costumes, known as The 2 Bears. Make sure you give the title song off their new album a full listen.
Horse Feathers- Violently Wild
Horse Feathers bring the energy with this track. Off the album So It Is With Us, due out later this month.
Playlist: Plume
Sometimes a song is so good it’s necessary to build a playlist around it. In this case that song is ‘Fool’ by Perfume Genius.
Jackson Browne- A Long Way Round
His prime of “Doctor My Eyes,” “The Pretender” and “These Days” may be behind him, but his voice still has not changed even at 65 years old. After seeing him perform at the Beacon Theater last night, I was inspired to share this song off the new album “Standing in the Breach.” Here is his NPR Tiny Desk acoustic version of “A Long Way Round.”
Super Tuesday
Hozier, The Barr Brothers, and Shakey Graves all have new albums out today.

Here’s a mellow Josh Ritter cover of Chris Smithers’ Rosalie.
Honne-Warm on a Cold Night
Silky smooth R&B on a cold Fall night. If you enjoy Chet Faker, this is right up your alley.
Damien Rice- I Don’t Want to Change You
Rick Rubin, A.K.A. The Man With the Best Job in the World, is producing Damien Rice’s new album, titled “My Favorite Faded Fantasy.” Here is the first cut- a stunning ballad from the Irishman.
The New Basement Tapes- When I get My Hands on You
Here’s something worth paying attention to- T Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) recorded an album together. If that’s not enough (it is), apparently all of the lyrics come from unused songs written by Bob Dylan during his Basement Tape sessions. Ok.
This is our first taste of the album:
Aaron Lee Tasjan- “Don’t Walk Away” & “Number One”
For this rainy day, we give you singer-songwriter, Aaron Lee Tasjan. In his own words, regarding his 2014 release “Crooked River Burning,” Tarjan said, “We had two rules. The first rule was every song can only have three chords in it, and only one song out of however many we record for the EP can have a bridge.”
“Number One”
