Rick Rubin, A.K.A. The Man With the Best Job in the World, is producing Damien Rice’s new album, titled “My Favorite Faded Fantasy.” Here is the first cut- a stunning ballad from the Irishman.

Here’s something worth paying attention to- T Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) recorded an album together. If that’s not enough (it is), apparently all of the lyrics come from unused songs written by Bob Dylan during his Basement Tape sessions. Ok.

The third single off The Barr Brothers upcoming album “Sleeping Operator” is closer to a rock anthem than it is to their typical folky fare. The Montreal band is pushing their sound on the new album, and the results are nothing but positive so far.
