Jackson Browne- A Long Way Round

His prime of “Doctor My Eyes,” “The Pretender” and “These Days” may be behind him, but his voice still has not changed even at 65 years old. After seeing him perform at the Beacon Theater last night, I was inspired to share this song off the new album “Standing in the Breach.” Here is his NPR Tiny Desk acoustic version of “A Long Way Round.”

The New Basement Tapes- When I get My Hands on You

Here’s something worth paying attention to- T Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) recorded an album together. If that’s not enough (it is), apparently all of the lyrics come from unused songs written by Bob Dylan during his Basement Tape sessions. Ok.
